Le professeur Marco TINA de l’université de Catane en Italie fera un séminaire le jeudi 24 juin à 14h dans la salle de réunion du MIS et en distanciel.

For utility scale PV plants large areas are needed in order to collect solar radiation but this is mitigated by the fact that large water surfaces are already available because of human activities both in rural and industrial contexts.

For these reasons, submerged and floating plants could find important applications even if, up to now, only floating plants (FPVs) have been installed and they are now becoming popular.  Main technical and economic issues related to this new PV installations (FPVs) are reported.

Research activities and experimental results performed at the University of Catania are presented and discussed.
